Company History
Founded in 1969 by visionary Carlos A. Nodarse, Blanco Enterprises has emerged as a leader in the affordable housing industry in Puerto Rico. With humble beginnings, Carlos, who arrived from Cuba in 1962, recognized the critical need for high-quality homes for low-income families. He set out to redefine the housing landscape by leveraging federal tax incentives and forming strategic partnerships with investors, architects, and contractors.
Over the past five decades, Blanco Enterprises has successfully developed numerous multifamily projects that continue to serve thousands of families, enriching their lives through high-quality, beautiful living environments.
Nodarse’s innovative approach included the use of unique architectural designs, characterized by curves and spacious layouts, which distinguished his developments from typical affordable housing of the time.

Since 1975, the company has built partnership structures aimed at serving economically vulnerable communities while providing tax benefits to investors. This vision is realized through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, which has enabled Blanco to close over $100 million in affordable housing deals from 2018 to 2023.
